Some households in Lunenburg will be receiving a survey from Statistics Canada. The Canadian Health Measures Survey is meant to provide accurate information on the health of Canadians and is vital to improving health care, according to the agency. Randomly selected residents will be asked about health issues including obesity and cardiovascular disease. About 1,700 homes in Nova Scotia will receive the survey and after an in-home visit residents of Lunenburg will be given the opportunity to participate in an oral health exam in late January at the Oak Island Resort and Conference Centre.
